This is my comprehensive database which shows how information was collected.

There are many errors on the original documents and I have tried to correct these. Amendments are shown in blue. Unresolved errors and queries are shown in red.

The 'AB units' and 'AB fate' columns are cross refences to Air Britain publications and were inserted for cross-checking purposes. The columns contain some errors, marked in red.

File is tab-separated. If loading the file into a spreadsheet select 'Text' format for all columns.

This is an index to the accident cards held by the RAF Museum on microfilm.

Some films have been digitized and consequently the page numbering is slightly different but the order is the same.

There are many errors on the original documents and I have tried to correct these. Amendments are shown in blue. Unresolved errors and queries are shown in red.

The index includes ATA accident reports, accident reports from other sources and an index to the AIR 81 casualty files. The latter files are being released by the MoD in batches and currently comprise losses up to late 1943.
